The Chemistry discipline welcomed six new members into the Gamma Sigma Epsilon Chemistry Honor Society at virtual induction ceremony held on April 23, 2021. The ceremony was hosted by GGC Chemistry faculty member Dr. Charmita Burch. The GGC SACNAS chapter will be co-hosting a “Virtual Graduate School Prep Club (V-GSPC)”.  These events will start taking place at the start of May and will go into the summer. It’s a great opportunity for any of our students interested in learning about graduate school.  Students may also be paired with a graduate student mentor! With the move to virtual learning, other events that GGC SST and Chemistry are known for were forced to move online this semester as well.  One of these was the Super Saturday Series (S3).  S3 is a multi-day, hands-on workshops for middle school and high school students to learn more about technology and science.
