The Chemistry Speaker Series will hold Green Chemistry Panel on February 10, Thursday, 2:00 – 3:15 PM on Zoom.

  • The panel includes Dr. Kirberger, Dr. Sloop, Mrs. Sublett Breeden, Dr. Woodbridge, and Dr. Zimmermann, all Chemistry professors at GGC.

  • Panel Discussion: Green Chemistry is guided by the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. These principles enable scientists to work towards creating a safer and more environmentally friendly process of making chemical products. They guide scientist in ways to reduce waste, conserve energy, and look for replacements of hazardous materials. The Green Chemistry Task Force at GGC will be providing a panel discussion on the ways Green Chemistry is implemented at GGC as well as opportunities that are available to further educate yourself on what green chemistry is and its importance in research and industry.
