Spring 2021 Chemistry Student Awards

The GGC Chemistry Grants and Awards Committee recognized outstanding undergraduate students for their achievements and excellence demonstrated in five main areas of Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical, and Biochemistry). These students were honored at a ceremony on May 10th on the GGC campus.   The following students were recognized: Jordi Lainez – Physical Chemistry Jeanne Cooper – Analytical Chemistry Sierra Chafin – Organic Chemistry Glennessa Hodge – Biochemistry Jesurebor Ivbaze – Inorganic Chemistry Congratulations to these five student award recipients!

CREATE Symposium featured several Chemistry student researchers

Georgia Gwinnett College’s (GGC) second virtual CREATE Symposium took place Thursday, April 29, and Friday, April 30.  This event, organized by the Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities (URSCA) Committee and Instructional Technology, included three virtual live sessions, a series of on-demand pre-recorded presentations, and an art gallery.  Chemistry students presented their research, either through STEC projects or class projects, in both the pre-recorded and live sessions.  We are very proud of all of the research students are doing in…
