SRI 310 Educational TCD GC
The SRI model 310 Educational Gas Chromatograph (GC) system was recently purchased by GGC to teach fundamental principles of gas chromatography in undergraduate chemistry labs. This model includes a 4-filament Themal Conductivity Detector (TCD) that can heat to 275°C, and a 6-foot silica-packed HayeSep D column. Data acquisition and method/temperature programming are controlled by a built-in single channel PeakSimple data system. The column oven can be programmed up to 300°C with multiple ramps and holds, and is equipped with fast cool-down fans. An electronic pressure control module (EPC) for the carrier gas provides solid retention time reproducibility. Helium is used as a carrier gas for the system, and the carrier gas is passed through a triple filter to remove moisture and other contaminants.
