Perkin-Elmer Lambda 25 UV-Vis

Perkin-Elmer Lambda 25 UV-Vis

LAMBDA 25, 35, & 45 UV/Vis Spectrophotometers from PerkinElmer, Inc. | SelectSciencePerkin-Elmer Lambda 25 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

UV-Vis spectroscopy observes transitions in electrons from the ground state to the excited state following absorption of UV and visible light. This is an important instrument in analytical chemical as it allows for quantitative determination of different analytes, including transition metal ions, conjugated organic compounds and biomolecules.

UV/Vis spectroscopy can be used to determine the concentration of an analyte in solution based on the Beer-Lambert law indicating that, within a certain range of concentrations, the concentration is directly proportional to the absorbance.
