Fluorescence Spectrometer

The Perkin-Elmer FL 6500 Fluorescence Spectrometer is a recent acquisition by the Chemistry Division at GGC. This system is designed for a multitude of experiments on both fluorescent and phosphorescent compounds associated with bioresearch, cell-biology, molecular biology, immunology, enzymology, protein folding, and tissue samples. Built in features include lifetime and quantum yield calculations. The xenon lamp provide broad wavelength analyses. The instrument is currently housed in A-1290.
