Faculty
The Chemistry Discipline at GGC has 39 full-time and 16 part-time faculty with a wide range of backgrounds in various chemistry sub-disciplines. All of our faculty value active learning in the classroom as a means to promote student success, and incorporate this using a variety of evidence-based teaching practices. Faculty also strive to engage students outside of the classroom through one-on-one undergraduate research projects, involvement in the ACS Student Affiliate and Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science student organizations, and through faculty-student social events each semester.
