Tips and Tricks for Keeping Organized

What tips and tricks do you use for keeping yourself organized while using Specifications Grading in your class?  How do you keep track of who is taking what version of a quiz?  Do you use tokens for retakes and how do you keep track of them?

Please share what works (or hasn’t worked) for you.

  1. One of the first things I added to my collection for my Spec Graded Class was a special binder that contained all my major documents for the class. I have always managed to bring it with me to lectures/labs so I can access info for the students quickly. I’ve even color coded my binders sub-sections to make it easier to find items. Here is the breakdown of my binder:
    Section 1: Class Picture Book
Section 2: Token Spreadsheet (used to keep an update on all tokens remaining for all students)
Section 3: EO and GO Spreadsheets (used to keep tracke of quiz attempts an individual grades until a Pass is awarded)
Section 4: Answer Keys for items used to award tokens
Section 5: Answer Keys for each version of an EO quiz
Section 6: Answer Keys for each version of a GO quiz
