Doctorate in software engineering from North Dakota State University, Master’s degree in information technology from DePaul University and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Damascus University

Her primary research interest is Online Social Networks (OSNs), with specific focus
on user’s privacy, intensity of interaction, and user profiling. She is also very interested
in Requirement Engineering, particularly requirement elicitation techniques and
security requirements. A third area of interest is system analysis and design,
particularly Service-Oriented modeling and architecture.
