Jo Anne, an Associate Professor of English in the School of Liberal Arts, received her PhD in the Language and Literatures of the Anglophone Caribbean from the University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras. Her current research focuses on ways literary and digital representations of people and cultures in the Caribbean engage public perceptions. This research intersects with her ongoing project is the Virtual Caribbean Library, a student mediated portal site developed in collaboration with the Library and Center for Teaching Excellence at Georgia Gwinnett College.
