The Herty Medalist Undergraduate Research Symposium (HMURS) was initiated in 2006 by the American Chemical Society Georgia Local Section to promote undergraduate research in the Metro Atlanta Area. One of the main goals of the HMURS is to leverage the impact of the Herty Award to undergraduates and to promote diversity.
