The major goal of our FLC was to develop and evaluate classroom activities that enhanced career readiness of students in information technology. We focused specifically on a course required by all ITEC students- ITEC 2201. Centered on the theme of career readiness we focused on developing class room activities that enhance team building, communication, professionalism and career awareness of students.
In this study, we will be developing class room activities to be implemented in ITEC-2201 to improve students’ career readiness by fostering career awareness, communication, and team work and conflict resolution and work professionalism. The scope of our study is focused on ITEC-2201 as it is required by all IT majors. However, our long-term vision is to come up with an independent framework that could be implemented in other courses across curriculum.
