Description

The Placement and Pathways Workshop will familiarize participants with the path Student Success students take from applying to GGC, taking placement exams, enrollment in foundations or corequisite learning support and EAP classes, and progression to a full complement of college-level coursework. Attention will be given to understanding the English and Math Placement Indexes, AccuPlacer placement exams, pathway into and out of learning support and EAP, scheduling considerations around those placements, and assessment guidelines. Discussion will also cover student attitudes towards and knowledge about these benchmarks, as well as how we can better prepare and/or transition them for these experiences.
