Description
The audience for this workshop is faculty who are interested in learning more about service-learning. The vision is for this workshop to serve as an instrument for personalizing the subject by bringing participants on my pedagogical journey of discovery and transformation from lecture-based instruction to experiential learning. Faculty members who are experiencing doubts about their teaching and pedagogy are also a potential audience for this workshop because it focuses on how the workshop facilitator grappled with a “crisis of confidence” in their own teaching by experimenting with new approaches and exploring pedagogical research. Ultimately, this workshop will model how college instructors should adopt a learning curve approach to their teaching career.
