Description
Critical thinking is frequently cited as the most important aptitude professors hope college students develop and employers and graduate schools seek in college graduates. Yet defining what critical thinking is, developing an intentional framework for building those skills through instruction, and evaluating the “critical” nature of thinking, are notoriously difficult. Through the Critical Thinking Track, faculty enhance their understanding of critical thinking, explore ways of enhancing student learning by focusing on critical thinking, and learn to analyze the quality of student thinking in order to assess what makes critical thinking “critical.”
Faculty analyze results of the integration of critical thinking learning objects in their classrooms and foster faculty engagement in the teaching, learning, and assessment of critical thinking at GGC.
