This Sustainability in Every Classroom workshop introduces participants to the practice of course narratives, a simple but powerful teaching technique for building cohesion within any course. While this technique is applicable for any level of class, it is particularly useful in lower level general education classes because it helps students develop the meta-cognitive ability of contextualizing coursework in terms of larger learning objectives, projects, disciplinary practices, or skill sets Participants will learn how to use this flexible teaching tool and will spend time planning ways to integrate it into the courses they are already teaching.
