Congratulations Marlyne!
A big congrats to Marlyne Serratos for her ACS Undergraduate Environmental Chemistry Award!! Marlyne studied Biochemistry at GGC and graduated in May 2019. She participated in undergraduate research at GGC and UGA focusing on marine aerosols.

Her work at GGC included single particle analysis of marine aerosols collected from Skidaway Island, GA using our atomic force microscope (AFM). Marlyne presented some of this work at the Fall AGU meeting in Washington, DC.

Below are some of the images Marlyne, along with Tram Cao, generated during the Fall 2018 semester. They show core-shell nature of marine aerosol populations. If you are interested in helping with this exciting project, please contact Dr. Zimmermann.
