As you know, the Commons has perhaps not been the most responsive platform at GGC, at best prone to sluggishness, and at worst completely unusable due to intermittent login and performance issues. I am happy to report that as of last night, the CPU cores and memory were doubled on the virtual server running the Commons, and I can see a noticeable performance improvement this morning. At this point, the Commons seems to be as responsive as you would expect any other website to be, which is a huge (and long overdue) improvement. Hopefully this will solve (or at least improve) the intermittent issues that we’ve had as well (although only time will tell).
