Next week I’ll be presenting round two of the Introduction to Virtual Worlds workshop on Wednesday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m., in which we’ll talk about some of the characteristics and advantages of immersive 3D learning environments; I will also give a virtual tour of GGC Island (GGC’s virtual campus in Second Life) and (time permitting) a few other educational / community sims.

Dr. David Kerven and I will also be presenting the second Introduction to Augmented Reality workshop on Thursday, March 30th at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Kerven will demonstrate how he has used the Aurasma app in his classes, and everyone will have a chance to try some demos of various AR apps (such as Anatomy 4D, Aurasma, and Blippar) using their own mobile devices.
